“Education has always been a cornerstone in the foundation of this cooperative, and FarmFirst is proud to support our membership youth as they pursue higher education. There is no greater investment into the future than in supporting the children of our farm member families,” says John Rettler, dairy farmer of Neosho, Wis. and president of FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative. “Our cooperative places a strong focus on building up today’s youth to become future leaders in whatever career path they choose.”
A generous scholarship program, the cooperative has awarded $226,000 to more than 240 students since 2013.
Applications are due March 31, 2024. To access the scholarship application form, to either submit online or to download the form, visit www.FarmFirstDairyCooperative.com For additional information call (608) 244-3373. All sons and daughters of members attending any form of post-secondary education are encouraged to apply as the scholarship is not limited to applicants pursuing a career related to agriculture.
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on leadership, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, an essay response, their future plans and career goals. All members of FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative and their children attending four-year universities, two-year technical programs or short courses in addition to high school seniors planning for post-secondary education are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Applicants must be the son or daughter of a current cooperative member.
